Flan Napolitano is distinguished for its exceptional spongy texture that makes it melt in the mouth and invites you to eat more of it. It is one of the easy and quick recipes that suit all family members.
As for its nutritional properties, flan is a mixture of milk and eggs. In this recipe, we decided to use skimmed milk to reduce the calories.
It should be noted here that although skimmed milk is rich in calcium and iodine and contains the same levels of lactose and sugar as whole milk, it loses vitamin A and vitamin D during the fat removal process. Therefore, if these vitamins are important to you in so-and-so, use whole milk.
On the other hand, eggs are traditionally nutritious foods. It contains high quality protein and monounsaturated fatty acids. In addition, it is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B group (B2, B3, B12), folate, iodine and selenium.
In this recipe, we decided to use ricotta cheese instead of condensed milk, and stevia instead of refined sugar, in order to lower the calorie content and make the dessert diabetic-friendly.

- Cook the mixture at 180°C for an hour. Make sure that the water does not evaporate. If this happens, add more.
- After an hour, check the heart of the flan by placing a wooden toothpick (reed) in it. If the stick comes out clean, the candy is ready.
