Milk Buns Recipe


  • 500g plain flour/4cups
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 7g yeast/2 & quarter tsp
  • 1 egg
  • 50g butter 
  • 3Tbsp sugar


  1. blend milk and butter and heat on the range but do no longer boil the milk 
  1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and make a well inside the middle. 
  1. put the yeast and egg within the well.
  1. Then sprinkle the sugar on the flour. 

  1. Pour the milk mixture into the properly and blend very well,it shouldn’t runny
  1. Knead the dough and put in an oiled bowl cover with a wet dish towel or plastic wrap.
  1. Leave to rise until double in size
  1. Knead getting old to knock the air out of the dough

  1. after the first upward thrust cut into smaller pieces and roll into balls and area on a baking tray cover the tray with a moist cloth or plastic wrap

  1. Let it rise again
  1. when it doubles once more in size bake in a preheated Oven . I ALWAYS BAKE MINE AT 180° FOR 25 MINS
